Upon arriving to Frankfort you descend into the town on a tree lined road that gives you an idealic view of the capital. It is a town filled with charm and history that sits on the shores of the Kentucky River. The natural beauty that surrounds Frankfort is only matched by the exquiste and spirited grounds of the many distilleries sprinkled throughout the hills of the Bluegrass State. For me learning about the bourbon making process and the history of each distillery was second best to be able to spend an extend weekend with my family filled with new experiences and lots of memories.
